Go Maria! (again)

So last night I was switching channels and found an Australian Open quater-final tennis match between Svetlana Kuznetsova vs Maria Sharapova.

It was a tough match, not because they both played very well, but also the hot and burning weather. Under 34 degree Celcius it's not a very bright idea to play tennis in an open court for more than two hours straight. I've experienced the brutal and 'naughty' Australian summer hehehe.. Both players were tested physically and mentally not to give up to their rival or weather. Or referring to the news last night, he said that the match was a civil war. Not because they have their own supporters carrying guns or stones but because they both come from the same origin, Russia. They speak same language, come from same motherland, the great land of Russia. But their play-style is different to one another. Kuznetsova, with her strong and firm look, while Maria has this kind of 'girl-next-door' look hehehe.. Kutznetsova has this powerfull swing that made her looks like an intense wall, and able to return the relay in a fast and sharp hit. In the other side of the court, Maria was being so swift and sneaky, she has a good agility. It gave me an image of a naughty little girl who tries to trick her big and bulky friend :D

Anyway, 3 sets were good enough for them to witness the tough summer in Australia. Maria won it with final score 6-4 2-6 2-6. She'll meet the famous Serena Williams Yay! Oh, btw, Maria is at rank 4 now! Go Maria!!
